Not Your Average Joe Coffee empowers the Oklahoma City community by involving students and adults with disabilities in the creation not just of exceptional coffee, but an encouraging environment as well. NYAJ specializes in coffee grounds and common ground, easily bringing people into the fold with its supportive atmosphere.
At the heart of NYAJ is inclusivity—a value which is celebrated at its inaugural Not Your Average Variety Show. Their recent show raised over $100,000 to expand job opportunities, provide specialized training, and develop a coffee lab for professional development for employees with disabilities.
The event showcased incredible performances from NYAJ’s staff, including magic tricks and comedy, and gave guests the chance to learn how meaningful employment has impacted their stories.
