Three Strands
Three Strands is a 90-day, wilderness-based addiction treatment program for young adult males (18-27 years old).
Located on a 1,378-acre working ranch in Steamboat Springs, CO, Three Strands uses a trauma-informed treatment approach and cutting-edge clinical modalities to address the unique challenges of addiction and mental health disorders. Living and working on the ranch, clients learn to cope with the challenges of everyday life and thrive in a lifestyle of recovery and purpose.
Ranch life requires hard work and commitment, problem-solving and creativity, care and thoughtfulness. It requires accountability, integrity, honesty, and courage—all principles at the core of Three Strands’ mission.
The ranch experience provides the foundation needed for clients to get the most out of the next step—the 30-day wilderness expedition. Led by trained wilderness recovery specialists, this immersive outdoor experience is designed to both challenge and inspire. From the mountaintops of Colorado, clients gain confidence and find out how strong they really are.
