LeapEnergy

LeapEnergy develops and exports productive-use power systems to emerging markets. Our products are used to power cold storages, run businesses and homes. The company was started in 2013 and currently has footprints in Nigeria, DRC and Uganda.

Strategic Value

To power businesses, homes and power agriculture. The term “productive-use” implies the combination of power and energy being robust enough to not just provide light for instance for a home but power appliances including refrigerators, sewing machines and more.

Our Story

In 2013, LeapEnergy introduced the End-Use Distributed Generation (EUDG), the power engine for a 45 metric ton off-grid powered cold storage capacity facility which won the Power Africa Off-Grid Energy Grant Challenge in 2014. The $100,000 grant was made possible under the Power Africa Initiative by USADF-GE. Today, we have several off-grid powered cold storage systems installed in several cities including, Abuja, Ibadan, Lagos, Osogbo, Orlu, Kebbi and Borno.
