PhotoUp
PhotoUp is is based in Cebu, Philippines and is the leading choice of Real Estate Photographers for high-quality and metric-driven real estate photo editing services and virtual staging solutions.
Our mission is to put people, planet, profit and purpose on equal footing in business and beyond. Our vision is to be the best real estate photo editing company in the World through innovative impact sourcing.
PhotoUp creates technology to help photographers grow their businesses. PhotoUp provides a cloud-based photographer business platform and marketplace. The base platform consists of photo delivery and payment, client resource management, and cloud storage. From the base, the photographer can pick and choose what other portions of the platform they need, for instance: bookings, websites, photo editing, marketing, feedback, etc. This allows the photographer to pick and choose which tools to use on an as needed basis.
PhotoUp focuses on leadership, education, and long-term community development. PhotoUp believes in promoting from within and hiring out of the communities in which it operates. Young business people in the Philippines are encouraged and supported by PhotoUp to step into leadership roles in the company as well as in the community. In addition, for many employees, working at PhotoUp is their first job and provides skills that will be very marketable in the long run.
Community Impact Projects
Every quarter, a new employee led committee develops and organizes a community service and/or humanitarian based project in which the entire staff will take part. The first eight projects included raising school supplies, feeding Cebu street children, helping fire victims, and tree planting. The projects are in strong alignment with another of Impact Foundation’s charitable purposes of addressing the root causes of poverty, insecurity, poor health, social justice, spiritual poverty, homelessness, and lack of access to education. One of the benefits Impact Foundation sees is that this aid and impact is being catalyzed by community members that have been raised up and supported by PhotoUp.
Employee Development Program
Once an employee has been with the company for 6 months he or she is eligible for the Employee Development Program (EDP). PhotoUp sets aside 5% of an employee’s base salary to assist in reaching a pre-determined life or learning goal. The employees can optionally choose to set aside an additional 2.5% of their actual salary into the savings fund and the company will match this amount, for a total of 10%. This is an example of how PhotoUp works to develop new leaders in the community.
